Improving indoor air quality can have an immediate, positive, and tangible impact on workplace health, well-being, and performance.
A recent Harvard Business Review article, Survey: What Employees Want Most from Their Workspaces, suggests "wellness programs offered by 80% of the larger U.S. companies yield unimpressive results." Put aside onsite gyms, meditation rooms, and standing desks; the surprising results showed employees want better air quality, access to natural light, and the ability to personalize their workspace.
"Half of the employees we surveyed said poor air quality makes them sleepier during the day, and more than a third reported up to an hour in lost productivity as a result. In fact, air quality and light were the biggest influencers of employee performance, happiness, and wellbeing, while fitness facilities and technology-based health tools were the most trivial."
Poor air quality has been linked to lower worker productivity and higher absenteeism rates. Research has shown that simple improvements to air quality can reduce absenteeism by up to four days per year. When you put that into dollars, that can cost a company an "estimated $3,600 annually per hourly worker and $2,650 each year for salaried workers $3,600 annually per hourly worker, and $2,650 each year for salaried workers."
Businesses have a responsibility to create a healthy, creative working environment for their employees, which is why companies around the globe are taking action.
The world's top luxury brand, LVMH, has invested in improving their work environments by installing Intellipure systems to clean up the air they breathe.
LVMH is driven by a permanent commitment to perfection and quality, and by a long-term vision combined with a sense of responsibility in all corporate actions, notably in its commitment to the preservation of the environment, sustainability, and inclusion. This promise doesn't stop at the products that they represent, but it goes deeper into the care and dedication they have for their employee's health and well-being. With rising concern over air quality, LVMH is taking steps to improve their workplace environments with the installation of Intellipure professional air purification systems in their facilities.
Offices and stores often have carpets and draperies which can gather and collect harmful particulates like mold, dust, and bacteria. The Ultrafine Series line of air purification systems (pictured right) delivers powerful and effective filtration to remove these toxins from the air before they can settle in and breed more dust, bacteria, and virus.
They are the systems on the market proven to capture all 3 pollutant categories, including the most dangerous, lung-penetrating ultrafine particles. The award-winning DFS Technology is individually tested to guarantee better than HEPA efficiency and has a 99% efficiency rating down to 0.007 micron in size. That's nearly 50x smaller than the tip of human hair!
At Intellipure, we understand not all air quality needs are alike, which is why we have a range of solutions for numerous types of applications, from medical facilities and clean rooms to residences, hotels, and cruise ships. It is truly our mission to help improve people's lives and we are so honored to be helping industry leaders like LVMH create a healthier indoor environment for their customers and employees!
